Hi, guys —
My wife is the head of the Rosary-making ministry
in our parish which has made and distributed
tens of thousands of Rosaries to Catholic
missionaries and organizations all over the
world.
She recently received a request for rosaries
from a nun who is in an Order called the:
Apostles of Infinite Love in
Quebec, Canada.
We never heard of them and we'd like to know
if they are a legitimate Roman Catholic Order.
- Could you help us with an answer?
Thank you,
Tom

Hi, Tom —
Funny you should write about them.
There was a recent news story about
them on the web.
They are a cult. A priest went into
schism in the 1960s and soon after
appointed himself pope.
They didn't say much else about the
group's theology, because the story
was about this nun who
had falsely claimed she had been
raped to explain her pregnancy. Here
is the link to the story:
and here is a link to the Wikipedia
article:
This group is different than other
schismatic right wing catholic
groups. The founder was never
a bishop so there was never an ability
to ordain. While he died a
legitimate priest, no one he ordained
was a priest so there were no valid
sacraments in this cult.
That said, if they want to pray the Rosary, that's a good thing so I'd
send them Rosary beads and I would get
them blessed beforehand so that the
power of the blessing will go with
the beads and perhaps help these
nuns to see the truth as they pray.
This is a perfect opportunity for
your wife to do some outreach and
love these women unconditionally.
Who knows, with prayer, some of them
may come home to the true Church
and become real nuns in a real order.
Obviously, they've shown an interest
to give their lives to God.
They've just fallen for the wrong
charlatans.
That's my two cents.
God Bless,

Hi, Mike —
There are at least two branches to the Apostles of infinite love. Both lead by self-proclaimed Popes.
- One was based in France headed by Michel Collin. He went by Pope Clément XV, but has died.
- The other is based in Québec, Canada headed by Gaston Tremblay. He goes by Pope Grégoire XVII and has mission houses all over. He is still alive but in very ill health.
This latter one (based in Québec) has been associated with many abuse charges but they have not yet been proved in court. There are cases presently within the courts. In 1999, there were 51 charges laid! See the links I sent you.

Dear Tom,
I certainly would not recommend that your wife have anything to do with this cult, The Apostles of Infinite Love. I understand John's reaction suggesting that your wife reach out to them via the Rosary beads. This would be a big mistake and throwing pearls to the swine.
I am an ex-member of this cult. I spent several years there so I know how they work. Every member there already has a Rosary, but all they want to do with your wife's beads is to sell them with a profit. Money is very important up there. It would be much better to help out other Protestant groups interested in praying with a free Rosary! I hope this message isn't too late.
They appear very holy and Catholic . . . but looks are very deceiving. They have hurt many sincere souls over the years at their Quebec monastery.
Sincerely,
Anna
