Several of my friends have bottles of Holy Water and I was wondering:
- What makes it holy?
- Do you get it from a sacred spring or is it tap water that's been blessed?
- Can you (or someone fulfilling a particular role) tell the difference between holy and normal water?
- If so, how?

Karen,
Holy water is just water that has been blessed by a priest.
Unless you are doing an exorcism or otherwise have contact with a possessed person, you cannot normally tell the difference between holy and normal water with certainty.
